Loco-Motives Racing & Ronnie DeHaven Jr Join Forces to Run a Part Time Schedule in 2012....

Loco-Motives Racing is pleased to announce that The “Virginia Vandal”, Ronnie DeHaven Jr will occupy the seat of the Jim Stasiowski owned Loco-Motives #17 on a part time basis in 2012.

“This is a good situation for me” said Stasiowski. “When Gary and I parted ways, I needed a place to keep the #17 equipment, and also wanted to put a driver in the car that would keep it up front and in the spotlight, so we could sell the team’s 2 Rocket cars. Ronnie and I have been friends for a long time and I have sponsored his family owned car for a while. Naturally it was a good fit. I also have been getting the urge to get back behind the wheel myself, for a race or two, so this will also award me that opportunity. I am really excited for this season, with Booper(Bare) in the #37 and Ronnie running the #17, this should be a great year” added the owner.

Although both Rockets cars have been sold, a brand new Mastersbilt by Huey has been ordered. The choice of engines is up in the air, as the team still has a fresh Leggett motor along with access to some RoushYates Fords which have been DeHaven’s engines of choice.

“This is great opportunity for me” said twelve year late model veteran Dehaven Jr from his Winchester, Virginia home. “Jim asked me to basically run his Rockets in order to sell them, but they are both sold now, so we will keep one of Jim’s MBH cars here and split time between his car and my Dad’s. We really haven’t had time to sit down and work on a schedule for either car. We want to run where we’ll have the best change at making some money. I would love to travel a little, out to places like Eldora, Cedar Lake & West Plains. When I got my Huey car at the end of last year, it really rejuvenated my racing. Huey’s cars drove so nice and we won some big races right out of the gate. It will be fun working with Booper as a team mate. I really can’t thank Jim enough for this opportunity” added Ronnie.
